The Port of Longyearbyen is the logistic point for cargo to the different settlements on Spitsbergen and the cruise industry. The port is located close to the city centre and Longyearbyen airport with regular flights to Tromsø and Oslo.

New floating pier
Port of Longyearbyen launches a new floating pier for boats up to 50 feet or 15 meters. The pier is 45 meters long and is based on the concept of Mediterranean mooring. With this concept, we hope to make room for more boats.
MV Artania
MV Artania operated by Phonix Reisen arrived Port of Longyearbyen this morning. The 230 meter long ship has a capasity of approx. 1200 passengers. We hope they have a nice day in town.
MSC Magnifica
The cruiseship MSC Magnifica arrived Port of Longyearbyen this morning as the first overseas cruisskip this year. MSC Magnifica is 93,000 GT and has a length of 294 meters. The ship was put into operation in March 2010 and can accommodate up to 3600 passengers.
